Position Summary

Cedar Psychiatry (in Layton and Draper) is looking for a compassionate individual who is devoted to treating patients through a variety of innovative psychotherapeutic methods. Must be able to maintain interdisciplinary treatment by reviewing and evaluating treatment plans, as well as monitoring the effects of medications. Ability to maintain historical records and correctly document symptoms, medications, and treatment events.

  • Licensed in state of practice
  • Strong functional knowledge of general psychiatric principles and practices
  • Maintain license void of personal and/or personal misconduct
  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field
  • Major Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Establishes positive, trusting rapport with patients
    2. Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders
    3. Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances
    4. Meets with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary
    5. Conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress
    6. Involves and advises family members when appropriate
    7. Refers patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary
    8. Maintains thorough records of patient meetings and progress
    9. Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality
    10. Contributes to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed
